Users review: What happens with M. Night Shyamalan recently? I liked his early films like Unbreakable and Signs, but he did not come with critics and audiences as it would have been possible if his directing career is in serious jeopardy. One of the largest and most complex problem that is simple: because M. Night Shyamalan directing the new post-apocalyptic adventure Will and Jaden Smith? He never asked to send After Earth or Sony wanted to choose any director that Smith had worked instead Shyamalan? For the uninitiated, this is the first film in low-rated 1999s frustrating mess for Will Smith Wild Wild West, and one for Jaden Day the Earth, and another bomb for Shyamalan.After Earth feels like a re-cut Battle for Terra (I know we have not even matter Travolta movie), and sometimes half of I Am Legend and semi-Hunger Games. But for me, maybe it's the Scientology thing that starts to destroy the whole story.The story funny, badly acted (Smith sounded like James Earl Jones), a mediocre sci-fi elements. Given that this movie is much worse? I wanted late Roger Ebert is here to make a judgment about After cutting the Earth. Bottom line: It will not be a big hit in the summer, but its another disappointment for fans of Will Smith. I'll just move on instead of renting movies on DVD. ** 1/2 out of 5 stars
